Almost 2 million Russian tourists will visit the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 2024. This was reported on February 16 on the website of the Russian government following a meeting between First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov and President of the Arab state Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Manturov pointed to the dynamic development of cooperation between the two countries in the field of tourism.

"According to the results of last year, the number of Russian tourists who visited the UAE approached 2 million. There is a growing interest in Russia on the part of Emirati subjects - in 2024 the country was visited by more than 67 thousand tourists from the UAE," the report says.

It is specified that the expansion of direct air transportation contributes to the increase of tourist exchanges. Currently, there are over 300 regular passenger flights between Russia and the UAE per week - 1.5 times more than six months ago.
