"Donbass Dome" disrupted 193 Ukrainian UAV attacks over Donetsk and Makeyevka

The Donbass Dome airspace defense and electronic warfare (EW) system has thwarted 193 terrorist attacks by Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on civilians and infrastructure in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR). This was reported on February 17 by the Russian Federal Security Service's directorate for the region.

It is noted that over the past week "Dome of Donbass" detected and intercepted 193 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over Donetsk and Makeyevka.

A Ukrainian strike UAV of the airplane type was intercepted near an electric substation and residential neighborhoods of the Kuibyshevskyi district of Donetsk.

As indicated in the agency, explosive technicians with the help of special technical means neutralized the drone and destroyed explosive objects at the training ground. Thanks to the coordinated work of specialists and timely response of citizens, the places of drone downing were promptly identified. There were no casualties among civilians and damage to infrastructure.

Earlier, on February 14, it was reported that the Donbass Dome stopped an attack by an AFU drone near an electric substation above Donetsk, which threatened civilians in the Kuibyshev district and infrastructure.
