Hockey club Salavat Yulaev from Ufa defeated Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in the regular season match of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) and became a participant in the playoffs of the tournament. The meeting on February 16 ended with a score of 3:2 in overtime.

Among the Ufa club players Mikhail Naumenkov (1st minute), Alexander Komarov (36th) and Scott Wilson (61st) scored pucks. Nikita Cherepanov (21st) and Alexander Elesin (28th) scored for Lokomotiv.

Salavat Yulaev hockey players guaranteed their participation in the playoffs with 75 points and second place in the Eastern Conference.
