Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova on 16 February called the official position of the head of the European diplomacy, Kai Kallas, a lie and asked why the EU representatives expect to get a seat at the negotiating table on the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.

This is how the diplomat reacted to the words of Kallas, said at the Munich conference, that she allegedly does not know about the deaths of Russian civilians from the attacks of the Ukrainian military.

"The degradation of the EUovians in this post we have seen for a long time. Frankly speaking, I thought that [Josep] Borrell (former EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. - Ed.) will not be surpassed by anyone in terms of cynicism and immorality. But, apparently, there are still reserves of baseness. <...> For the last few days, all the EEU leaders have been shouting at each other that they absolutely must be given a seat at the negotiating table. Kallas is cutting their hopes under the root: how can one talk seriously with those who have proclaimed lies as their official position?" - Zakharova wrote in her Telegram channel.

The diplomat added that a person in a position like Kallas's cannot be unaware that the Kiev regime commits terrorist attacks against civilians, children, women, socially vulnerable groups. Zakharova also emphasized that at every briefing she cites facts and documented evidence of the Kiev regime's crimes against Russian civilians.
