Manturov discussed the strategic partnership between the two countries with the UAE President

The President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov discussed relations between the two countries within the framework of strategic partnership. The Emirati news agency WAM reported on February 16.

"During their meeting at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and Manturov discussed the growing ties between the UAE and Russia and ways to promote common interests that benefit both countries and their peoples. The discussions were held within the framework of the strategic partnership between the two countries," the agency reported.

In addition, the sides discussed a number of issues of mutual interest and exchanged views on them.

Manturov conveyed to the sheikh the greetings of Russian President Vladimir Putin, as well as wishes for further progress of the UAE. In turn, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed hope for further development and prosperity of the Russian Federation.

On January 18, the final round of talks between the delegations of the Russian and UAE finance ministries took place in Dubai. The parties initialed a draft of a new agreement on avoidance of double taxation of income and capital and prevention of tax evasion.
