Experts told about protection from credit fraudsters

If fraudsters have taken out a loan in your name, you should first personally apply to the police with a corresponding statement. RBC wrote about it on February 16 with reference to experts.
"First of all, experts recommend to contact the police with the appropriate statement. You can do this on the official website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. At the same time, it is recommended to submit the application in person, as online appeals can be considered for up to 30 days," the instruction says.
Further, it is necessary to send an application to the bank, where the loan was issued, with a request to suspend the loan agreement and conduct an internal investigation. As noted by financial expert Nikita Lamanov, if it turns out that the victim of deception really did not draw up the loan, credit organizations, as a rule, will meet the requirements. If the bank does not respond or rejects the victim's request, you can also submit a request to the Bank of Russia through the online lobby.
As additional options can be considered an appeal to the prosecutor's office or the court, specifies lawyer Danila Chernykh-Aipov. The expert noted that through these instances recently managed to cancel the loan agreement with a probability of almost 100%. The lawyer also urged not to pay on the loan taken by fraudsters, as its repayment may be considered by the court as recognition of debt.
Director of the center for countering fraud company "Informzaschita" Pavel Kovalenko said on January 17 that the most common type of fraud remains calls allegedly from bank employees. He added that against the background of growing interest in investments, cases of creating fake trading platforms have become more frequent.
