Media reported on the possible criminal prosecution of Prince Harry in the US

British Prince Harry may face criminal prosecution in the United States, if it is confirmed that he lied about the use of banned substances in the application for an American visa. This was reported by The Daily Mail on February 16, citing anonymous sources.

According to the publication, the President of the United States Donald Trump will support the lawsuit in such a case.

"Donald Trump remains convinced that Prince Harry will face criminal prosecution if it is found that he lied about his drug use in his visa application," the material says.

It is specified that any person who lied about drug use in an application for a US visa faces up to five years in prison, a fine or deportation.

"President Trump has said he will not deport Harry, but there is no doubt he will support prosecution," the newspaper's anonymous source added.

The same source confirmed that there is "no love lost" between the Dukes of Sussex and Trump.

In November 2024, Americanist Vladimir Mozhegov expressed the opinion that after the inauguration, Trump may expel British Prince Harry from the country. However, on February 8 this year, the New York Post reported that Trump ruled out the possibility of deporting Prince Harry.
