A criminal case of a terrorist act has been opened over the shelling of the village of Korenevo in Kursk Region by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported on February 16 in the main military investigation directorate (GVSU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia.
"A criminal case has been opened in connection with the commission by armed formations of Ukraine of a terrorist act against the peaceful population of Kursk region (paragraphs "a", "c" of part 2 of article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)", - stated in the Telegram-channel of the department.
The SCSU stressed that the AFU had committed a targeted shelling of the village, where civilians live. The agency promised to identify all those involved and bring them to justice.
On February 15, a civilian was injured during the AFU shelling of the village of Korenevo in Kursk region. A 67-year-old man was hit in the courtyard of his house. The victim was taken to hospital.
