The expert told about the reasons for the growth of tariffs for capital repair in 2025

In Russian regions from January 1, 2025 tariffs for capital repairs in apartment buildings have increased. Svetlana Musienko, associate professor at the Finance University under the Government of the Russian Federation, told about it on February 16.

"Tariffs for capital repair directly depend on the cost of works and services, as well as materials required for its implementation. Since in recent years there has been a steady increase in the cost of various building materials, and the overall inflation rate has been higher than planned, this has inevitably led to an increase in tariffs, including for capital repairs," she clarified in a conversation with the agency "Prime".

According to her, the strongest tariffs have grown in Murmansk region, they increased by 44-45% depending on the floor of the house. In Moscow, the cost of overhaul increased by 16%.

Musienko also noted that at their discretion regions can introduce differentiated tariffs, differing by engineering and technical equipment of buildings. In this case, residents of houses with elevators will pay more.

In the capital there is no such differentiation. At the same time St. Petersburg has established the greatest differentiation: houses are divided into 10 types, for each of which different tariffs with and without elevator are determined.

Regional operators will be required to carry out an inspection of the technical condition of the house every five years

January 7 in the State Duma reported that they will finalize the bill on the allocation of payment for current repairs as a separate type of payment so that in payments for utilities there are separate amounts for current repairs, arrears and the total cost of planned and completed work. It is noted that currently the general wording "maintenance and current repair costs" is inserted. The initiative will help to increase the transparency of spending of management companies (MC) and the quality of work provided.
