Oncologist told about the factors that increase the risk of developing cancer

The main causes of oncology are external factors and genetics, but there are also less obvious risks. Evgeny Gordeev, an oncologist at the Scandinavian Health Center, said on February 16.
"Regular consumption of sweetened products or industrial concentrates can increase inflammatory reactions that provoke malignant tumors. Fried or smoked food contains carcinogenic ingredients, while disrupting metabolism," he specified in conversation with "Gazeta.Ru".
The doctor added that synthetic preservatives and flavor enhancers, as well as some vitamins at their high concentration in the body, have a negative impact on cells.
"High concentrations of vitamin E can promote tumor development, and excessive accumulation of vitamin C can increase the toxic load on the liver. In addition, some fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, K) in high doses can have a negative impact on metabolism," Gordeev explained.
He emphasized that carcinogenic compounds such as chlorine and formaldehyde contained in some cleaning and cosmetic products can also increase the likelihood of cancer.
According to the oncologist, the risks are also increased by frequent consumption of too hot drinks and spicy food, as they can damage the esophageal mucosa, thereby causing chronic inflammation. In addition, the amount of physical activity affects the development of cancer.
"Lack of systematic exercise often leads to obesity, forming an additional threat of tumors in the mammary glands, intestines or kidneys", - said the doctor.
Oncologist of the Ministry of Health of the Moscow region Ivan Kaprin told on February 6 about the basic rules in the treatment of cancer. He stressed that the most important thing is regular medical examination. According to the doctor, if the disease is detected at early stages, then in 98 out of 100 cases can be cured completely. According to him, a positive attitude is also very important.
