A two-year-old girl and her mother who were injured when a car hit a crowd in Munich died. This was reported on February 15 by the newspaper Bild, citing a police statement.

"The woman (37 years old) and her young daughter died in hospital two days after the terrorist attack in Munich. The girl was only two years old," the publication said.

The investigation of the incident is being handled by the Federal Prosecutor's Office of Germany in Karlsruhe.
