The Ministry of Health has developed a new procedure for medical examination for intoxication

The Ministry of Health has drawn up a draft which introduces certain amendments to the procedure for medical examination for the presence of alcohol or other prohibited toxic substances in the body. The corresponding document was published on the Federal Portal of draft regulatory legal acts.

The document refers to the new rules of the procedure of testing for intoxication, in addition, there is an updated list of groups of narcotic substances for which the examination can be conducted.

In addition, the text clarifies the issues of voluntary consent to undergo the test and the grounds for the conclusion of a person's refusal.

In order for the draft to enter into force, it needs to be reviewed by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, where it has not yet been sent. Only after that the draft will be officially published.
