A UAV crew destroyed two AFU bridge-laying vehicles in the Kursk border area

An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the Independent Guards Airborne Assault Brigade from Buryatia has destroyed two Biber bridge-laying vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) in the Kursk border region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on February 16.
The ministry specified that the paratroopers destroyed a Biber bridge-laying vehicle based on a German Leopard 1 tank with a precision strike, using FPV drones, controlling them with fiber-optic wires to which electronic warfare systems do not react.
According to the Defense Ministry, Ukrainian fighters were trying to install track bridges over a ditch in a settlement in the Kursk region.
The goal of the paratroopers is to detect and defeat AFU equipment. Their UAVs are equipped with modern munitions. The calculations work around the clock, which makes it easier for the Russian military assault groups to fulfill their assigned tasks, and also makes it possible to deter the enemy, not allowing them to get closer.
The day before, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Molniya-2 aircraft-type UAV calculations of the 40th Independent Guards Marine Brigade as part of the "North" force grouping destroyed military facilities, armored and automotive equipment of the AFU in the border area of Kursk Region.
