Biathlete Johannes Bø won his 21st gold medal at the World Championships


Norwegian biathlete Johannes Bø won the men's sprint race at the 2025 World Cup in Lenzerheide, Switzerland, on Feb. 15.
"The feeling is amazing. It was a fantastic day, one of my best sprints ever. To win the World Championships and to make history at the last tournament like this for me is unbelievably great. The skiing was great today, our team did a perfect preparation. I'm happy," Bø told IBU journalists.
The four-time winner of the world championships in the sprint overcame the distance in 21 minutes 56.8 seconds, not allowing any misses at two firing lines.
This sprint victory made Johannes Bø the most decorated biathlete at the World Championships.
Johannes Bø on January 18 announced the end of his career at the end of the season. At the World Championships, Bø has reached the top step of the podium 20 times, 12 times he managed to win silver and five more times he took bronze. Bø has won the World Cup five times.
