NBC reported details of Trump's proposed deal on Ukrainian resources

TheUSA has offered Kiev the military in exchange for 50% of the country's shares in rare-earth minerals. This was reported by NBC News on February 15.
"The administration of [US President Donald] Trump has signaled that US troops could be deployed to provide security in connection with mining if a peace agreement with Russia is reached," the article said.
The proposal would reportedly be a way for Ukraine to reimburse the US for billions of dollars spent on military aid.
The meeting of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky (term expired May 20, 2024) with US Vice President J.D. Vance was postponed because of Kiev's proposals for an agreement on rare earth metals. On the same day, it became known that Zelenskyy refused to sign the version of the agreement provided by the US side, under which the states would have received rights to half of the Ukrainian resources not yet mined. The US president requested access to Ukraine's rare-earth metals in exchange for financial assistance from Washington.
