The US president's special envoy for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, will visit Ukraine as well as Germany and Belgium next week, he will tell US leader Donald Trump how the European Union (EU) envisions a sustainable peace. He said this on February 15 during a Ukraine luncheon at the Munich Security Conference being held in Germany.

"Next week I am going to Ukraine. Then we will compare notes when we return," Kellogg stated.

He said he will tell the U.S. president how the European Union countries envision a sustainable peace.

"Of course the Ukrainians will be at the negotiating table. It would be foolish to assume otherwise," Kellogg said when asked whether Kiev would take part in the ceasefire talks.

Kellogg said on February 15 on the sidelines of the conference that Europe might not be physically present at the peace talks table, but its interests would be taken into account. He noted that Washington was not yet ready to name requirements for providing security guarantees to Kiev as part of the conflict settlement talks.
