Boxer Kuzmin will replace Papin in the fight with Tetteh on February 28th


Russian boxer Sergey Kuzmin will replace WBA Asia champion Alexey Papin in a fight with WBA Africa and WBA Pan Africa champion Ebenezer Tetteh at the "REN TV Fight Club" tournament. The fight will take place on February 28 in Yoshkar-Ola.
According to promoter Vladimir Khryunov, Papin suffered a torn Achilles, so he will not be able to enter the ring.
"Such are the harsh laws of this life that athletes of high achievements - they expose themselves to superloads," he added.
Khryunov recalled that Kuzmin participated in a consonant fight in the last show, which took place at the Megasport arena in Moscow. According to him, the boxer from St. Petersburg is a favorite of the Leningrad public. The promoter called Kuzmin very distinctive and charismatic.
