Russian Alexander Trufanov, who was released from the captivity of the Palestinian Hamas movement, in which he spent 498 days, was handed over to medics. This was reported by the Izvestia correspondent on February 15.
The footage from the scene shows how the helicopter with the prisoners landed on the site, after which the released were put into microbuses. Next, they will be examined in the Israeli medical center Sheba.

Trufanov and two other hostages were handed over to the Red Cross on Saturday, February 15, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said. Russian Ambassador to Israel Anatoly Viktorov specified that Russian diplomats made every effort for his release.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova expressed gratitude to the Palestinian side and partners from Qatar and Egypt for their assistance in the release of the Russian held in the Gaza Strip.
