Russia has been conducting a special military operation to protect civilians in Donbas since February 24, 2022. According to the Defense Ministry, units of the Center group of troops liberated the village of Berezovka in the DNR. They also defeated the manpower and equipment of four mechanized and airmobile brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), two theater defense brigades and a National Guard brigade in the areas of the settlements of Shcherbinovka, Udachnoye, Zverevo, Kotlino, Novoandreyevka and Nadezhdinka.
In this direction, the enemy lost up to 490 soldiers, an armored combat vehicle, five vehicles and six field artillery pieces.
In addition, the units of Army Group West improved their tactical position. They eliminated AFU manpower and equipment, including three electronic warfare stations and three ammunition depots.
Air defense means shot down two Hammer guided aerial bombs, three HIMARS multiple rocket launcher system (MLRS) shells, and 130 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
The Russian army struck Ukrainian military airfield infrastructure facilities, ammunition and rocket-artillery weapons depots, preparation sites for drone launches, as well as concentrations of enemy manpower and equipment in 143 areas.
A total of 653 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 43,472 UAVs, 594 anti-aircraft missile systems, 21,464 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,517 MLRS combat vehicles, 21,743 field artillery and mortars, 31,700 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed since the beginning of the special military operation.
