Trump claimed attempts by the US press to pick a fight between him and Musk

US President Donald Trump said in an interview with Fox News on Friday, February 14, that the US media is trying to break him up with billionaire head of the United States Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) Ilon Musk.
"It's so obvious. They're so bad at it. <...> If they were good at it, I would never be president," Trump said.
Fox News explains that a number of media outlets in the US have accused Musk of usurping Trump's authority with his department and referred to the billionaire as "President Elon Musk." Trump, commenting on this, said that the head of DOGE called him and said that the media is trying to separate them, and the head of state absolutely agrees.
In an interview with the TV channel, Trump and Musk said that US residents are smart, they realize that in fact the presidential administration and DOGE are working together to reduce excessive spending by the federal government.
The US presidential administration, in turn, published an excerpt of the interview on its X social network page (formerly Twitter).
"President Trump mocks losers who create fake news for trying to separate him and Ilon Musk," - signed the footage the team of the American leader.
Earlier on February 14, ABC television channel reported that 14 states filed a federal lawsuit against Trump and Musk. According to the petitioners, the billionaire is an "authorized agent of chaos" and his powers violate the US Constitution, because the Senate of the country did not approve Musk as head of DOGE.
NBC News reported on February 12 that the U.S. president signed an executive order expanding Musk's authority at DOGE. Meanwhile, on February 8, it was reported that New York and 18 other states sued the chief executive' s administration over the department's program, accusing DOGE of illegal access to federal systems.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said on February 10 that Trump's return to the White House means a change of milestones in the country's foreign policy course, as well as in its domestic policy.
