The Trump administration has restricted AP reporters' access to the White House

The administration of the American leader Donald Trump has limited access of journalists of the Associated Press (AP) agency to the White House. This was stated on February 14 by Taylor Badovic, deputy chief of staff of the staff of the complex.
"The Associated Press continues to ignore the legal change to the geographic name of the Gulf of America. This decision is not only divisive, but reveals the Associated Press' commitment to misinformation," he wrote about the reason for the restrictions on his X (formerly Twitter) social media page.
Badovic specified that the agency's journalists were denied access to the Oval Office, as well as to the U.S. president's plane. At the same time, he said, AP employees retain their accreditations in the rest of the White House.
Trump announced plans to rename the Gulf of Mexico as the American Gulf of Mexico on January 20. In accordance with his executive order, the U.S. Department of the Interior officially changed the name of the geographic feature on Jan. 24.
