In Germany, attackers stole €10m from a bank vault


Four attackers broke into the premises of Deutsche Bank in the city of Lübeck and stole €10 million, robbing 326 cells. This was reported by the German newspaper Bild on February 14.
The criminals easily got inside the vault with empty suitcases and backpacks. After waiting for the bank to close, they freely filled the bags with money and securities, the alarm went off only when the criminals left the building. Afterwards, the robbers fled the backyard in several cars.
"In the underground vault of the credit organization there are about 2.5 thousand cells located on two levels, there are no cameras or motion sensors. The lockers, however, are ordinary mailboxes, which are easy to open with simple tools," the publication reports.
After the robbery, the bank has strengthened security measures: customers are escorted to the vault by bank employees.
The police noted that the criminals rented boxes in advance to gain access to the basement. It is also reported that the robbers have not yet been found.
In Novosibirsk on December 12, 2024, an armed man robbed a bank. According to the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the region, the intruder stole more than 9 million rubles. Video surveillance cameras captured the robber threatening bank employees with a gun and then running down the street with a black bag.
