The Molniya-2 UAV destroyed AFU equipment in the Kursk border area

Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) calculations of the Molniya-2 aircraft type of the 40th Independent Guards Marine Brigade as part of the North force grouping destroyed military facilities, armored and automotive equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the border area of Kursk Region. The Russian Defense Ministry published footage of the combat operation on February 15.

The ministry pointed out that servicemen use various combat UAVs on a daily basis to destroy small mobile groups of the AFU in the Kursk border area. For example, one of the units of the "North" group of troops has a whole range of attack drones in service for this purpose - from conventional FPV drones to airplane-type UAVs, including Molniya-2.

The Lightning-2 UAV can be compared to the famous Lancet barrage munition. Such drones fly much farther than conventional FPV drones and carry a bigger charge. At the same time, the "Molniya-2" drone is more affordable and easy to operate, capable of carrying up to 6 kg of explosives. It is also equipped with a catapult, control is carried out with a remote control and special glasses, as well as FPV-drone control.

It is noted that Russian servicemen change the basing point every new launch to remain undetected by the enemy.
