In Moscow by the end of 2025, more than 100 projects of the Central Department of Education and Science on re-partitioning will be implemented. This was reported on February 14 by Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of the capital for Transport and Industry.

He explained that repartitioning is a quick and economical way to improve conditions for motorists on roads with heavy traffic. The works will be carried out, in particular, on the Garden Ring, the TTC and the Moscow Ring Road, reports the agency of city news "Moscow".

In particular, it is planned to make intermittent lines instead of solid lines for convenient rearrangement in Mitkovsky tunnel (towards Rusakovskaya Street). In addition, it is planned to equip another lane at the exit on Bolshaya Tulskaya Street (Varshavskoe highway). Experts will also organize four new U-turns: two in front of Akademika Sakharova Avenue and two near Paveletskaya Square. This will reduce the overrun by 1-2 km on average.

It is noted that an additional lane due to re-partitioning on average increases the road capacity by 15-20%. New U-turns also create alternative routes to reduce travel time, writes "Moscow 24".

On February 8 it was reported that in five tunnels of the capital it is planned to replace solid markings with interrupted ones. The changes will affect Mitkovsky and Arbat tunnels, sections of the Garden Ring, Butyrskaya Street and Dmitrov highway, reports 360.ru.
