Pistorius assessed Europe's possible exclusion from Ukraine talks

Europe's exclusion from the negotiations on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict may become a turning point in relations with the USA. This was reported by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius on February 14.
"This could be a turning point for transatlantic relations on a historic scale, after which our roads threaten to go in different directions," he noted during the Munich Security Conference.
Pistorius emphasized the importance of European participation in the settlement talks, as well as the need to discuss territorial issues.
"It is hard to imagine that Europeans can subsequently secure this peace without taking part in negotiations to achieve peace together," Politico newspaper quoted the minister as saying.
According to Pistorius, Europe's actions in this process will determine the future of subsequent European generations.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said on February 13 that the actions of the administration of U.S. leader Donald Trump regarding the conflict in Ukraine jeopardize the security of Europe. He emphasized that Germany needed to make a decision as soon as possible to make additional spending on supporting Ukraine possible.
