The Ministry of Internal Affairs told about a new fraudulent scheme

In a new scheme fraudsters present themselves as employees of the polyclinic and technical support of "Gosuslugi". This was reported on February 14 by the press service of the Interior Ministry's Department for organizing the fight against the illegal use of information and communication technologies.
"To create the necessary psychological effect in a complex, multi-step scheme are fake specialists from the polyclinic, technical support "Gosuslugi" and Rosfinmonitoring", - stated in the message in Telegram-channel.
According to the agency, fraudsters, contacting the victim, introduce themselves as employees of the polyclinic and lure the code from SMS to enter the personal account under the pretext of an appointment or medical examination. After gaining access, the criminals send loan applications to banks or microfinance organizations (MFIs).
Next, the victim receives appropriate alerts. The victim realizes that he has been hacked, and at this point the fraudsters send the number of the fake support service of "Gosuslugi", where they confirm the hack and suggest contacting Rosfinmonitoring in order not to lose funds.
Then the scammers say that in order to stop money laundering through your accounts and protect you from intruders, you need to write a statement, specifying that they can't help you without it.
After that, they send a sample in Word format and ask to add to the statement photos of the bank card on both sides.
Earlier it was reported that attackers call Russians with an offer to update the account on "Gosusluga". In most cases, fraudsters seek to obtain an SMS-code required to restore access to the account. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reminded that "Gosuslugi" does not call users.
