US energy chief signs first LNG export license since June 2024

The United States signed the first license for the sale of liquefied natural gas (LNG) since June 2024, when American former president Joe Biden signed a ban on their issuance. US Energy Secretary Chris Wright said on February 14.
"This morning I signed the first LNG export license, ending the pause," Wright said during a speech at the White House after US President Donald Trump signed an executive order creating an energy dominance council.
On the same day, the US leader signed two new documents, including an executive order creating a US energy dominance council. The second document signed was an executive order canceling mandatory COVID vaccination in US schools.
