The Russian Defense Ministry told about the feats of Russian fighters in the zone of conducting the Strategic Air Defense Forces

On February 15, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on the exploits of Russian army servicemen in the zone of the special military operation (SMO).

For example, the commander of the repair unit, Sergeant Alexander Averykov, carried out tasks to restore and repair weapons, military and special equipment damaged in the course of combat operations. He repeatedly moved to the area of intensive combat operations as part of the repair team, where he carried out the evacuation of equipment under the fire of artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

It is noted that Averkov managed to evacuate 12 units of equipment from the battlefield and repair more than 70 weapons in the field.

The agency also reported about the feat of Junior Sergeant Valery Morozov, commander of a tank, whose crew provided fire support to the assault troops of the Russian Armed Forces (AFU) during the liberation of one of the settlements.

The tankers, being in a favorable position, suppressed with aimed fire a mortar unit of the AFU, which was holding back the advance of the Russian assault troops.

After destroying the enemy mortar crews, the Russian attack aircrafts overcame the open and shootable terrain, broke into the enemy stronghold and knocked out the Ukrainian fighters. At the same time, the Russian Armed Forces fighters gained a foothold on the stronghold, creating conditions for the development of the offensive and the liberation of the village.

It is specified that during the assault Morozov's tank crew was firing at the incoming enemy reinforcements, causing significant damage to them.

The day before, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that calculations of 122-millimeter D-30 guns of the Southern Military District from the Dnieper group of troops destroyed camouflaged control points of one of the AFU units with enemy personnel sheltering in a residential building on the right bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson region.
