Russian fighters told Izvestiya on February 14 details of the liberation of the village of Dachne in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).

Thus, according to a serviceman with the call sign Fischer, the Russian military entered the village from the south, bypassed units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), storming the enemy and taking fighters prisoner along the way.

"There were fortifications, but the AFU threw them and withdrew very quickly," Fischer said.

The assault was divided into several stages. As the commander of a reconnaissance company with the call sign Abkhaz noted, Russian fighters mined roads and hit enemy vehicles, preventing Ukrainian troops from rotating.

On February 14, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Russian Armed Forces liberated the settlements of Dachne and Zelenoye Polye in the DNR. Dachne was liberated by units of the Southern Group of Forces, while Zelenoye Polye was taken under control by members of the Center Group of Forces, the ministry said in a statement.
