If the United States "survived" 10 years of lectures by eco-activist Greta Thunberg, Europe will be able to "tolerate" a few months of statements by American entrepreneur and billionaire Ilon Musk. United States Vice President J.D. Vance said this during a speech at the Munich Security Conference on February 14.

"You either support the principle that the voice of the people matters or you don't. Believe me, I say this with humor: if American democracy could survive 10 years of Greta Thunberg's moralizing, you can survive a few months of [posts by] Ilon Musk," Vance stressed.

The vice president urged Western countries to listen to their citizens. According to the politician, suppressing opinions, limiting their participation in the political process and censorship in the media only destroys democracy.

On February 13, Christian Democratic Unionf (CDU) leader Friedrich Merz said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal that Musk could face consequences for supporting the German right-wing Alternative for Germany (AdG) party.

On Feb. 1, the billionaire called the AdG the country's only hope. Last December, Musk also said that only this party could be the salvation for Germany.
