France pointed to EU hysteria after Putin and Trump talk

The European Union (EU) is in hysterics after the telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and American leader Donald Trump. Florian Philippot, a French politician and leader of the Patriots party, said on Friday, February 14.
"The EU wanted its third world war so badly that it literally became hysterical about what happened between Trump and Putin. <...> The EU is so hysterical that it is quite capable of destroying us," he wrote in social network X.
Thus, according to Phillipo, the European Union has failed to prolong the conflict, in which they have invested huge amounts of money and resources, as Trump has embarked on a diplomatic settlement of the issue in Ukraine, "turning" to Putin.
The day before, on February 13, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzo said that the EU needs to sober up from the war frenzy after the phone call between Trump and Putin. In addition, he said, no one informed the presidents of the European Council, the European Commission and the European Parliament about the content of the conversation between the heads of state.
On February 12, the Russian president held a telephone conversation with the American leader. According to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, the two leaders discussed many topics, including the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. Trump, in turn, noted that he was united with Putin in the opinion that Washington and Moscow will be able to get more benefit from working together.
