Among Russians there is a significant increase in interest in author tours abroad, analysts of the YouTravel.me service told Izvestia on February 14.
"Over the past 24 hours, the share of foreign destinations has increased from 52% to 77%, indicating a marked increase in demand for international travel. This trend can be attributed to a number of factors, including the decline in the dollar exchange rate, which makes foreign tourism more affordable for consumers," - specified the expert.
According to the service data for February 13, the list of the most popular destinations for foreign tourism included Portugal (13.05%), South Africa (13.39%), Azerbaijan (11.76%), Morocco (6.15%), Indonesia (5.7%), Maldives (4.28%), Italy (3.48%), Kyrgyzstan (2.91%), Turkey (2.23%), Mauritius (2.11%), Georgia (1.55%) and Uzbekistan (1.36%).
At the moment the structure of demand has changed. Morocco became the leader in popularity with the share of 21.93%. The second place is occupied by South Korea (10.06%), followed by Indonesia (8%). The list of the most popular destinations also includes Sri Lanka (5.83%), South Africa (5.60%), Cambodia (5.49%), Maldives (5.16%), USA (3.83%) and Egypt (3.35%).
