Most hotels for Valentine's Day were booked in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Greater Sochi. This is stated in the research results of the Bronevik.com platform (part of the MTS ecosystem), which were reviewed by Izvestia on February 15. In general, the number of bookings increased by almost a quarter year-on-year.

The average cost of staying in tourist accommodation in Russia during this period amounted to 5.9 thousand rubles per day. The largest number of such reservations falls on Moscow - 15% of all orders. Here the average check per night amounted to Br6.6 thousand. Most often three-star hotels were booked for Valentine's Day and the adjacent weekend in the capital.

The second place in the number of reservations made for February 14 and the weekend, St. Petersburg with a share of 10% of all orders. In the Northern capital a day in hotels was booked for an average of Br7.5 thousand. Four-star accommodation facilities were in the greatest demand here.

The agglomeration of Greater Sochi with 3% of all orders in Russia closes the top three. The average cost of accommodation in local hotels from February 14 to 16 amounted to Br8.9 thousand per day. The largest number of bookings fell on four-star hotels.

Tula, Yekaterinburg and Yaroslavl strengthened their positions in the rating of popular cities for trips in honor of Valentine's Day. Tula and Yaroslavl are traditionally in demand among residents of central Russia for short weekend trips, and the capital of the Urals, Yekaterinburg, attracts travelers from both the region and neighboring regions.

Earlier, on February 12, it was reported that the majority of surveyed Russians (54%) usually spend February 14 in the usual rhythm: work, home, TV series. At the same time, 22% of girls please themselves with pleasant trifles - shopping or sweets, and 15% of men actively use dating apps in search of a companion. There are also those who save themselves from loneliness through work and sports: 11% of men and 7% of women. This follows from the results of a study by the dating service Mamba.
