German Chancellor Olaf Scholz intends to retire from politics after he ceases to hold his current post. He stated this in a Jung&;Naiv video podcast published on YouTube on February 14.

According to the politician, his Plan A is that he will be re-elected.

"But from my point of view, that doesn't mean anything else has to follow," he explained, adding that he would prefer to be an "ordinary citizen" again after leaving office.
