Liksutov told about plans to increase waiting rooms for passengers of Leningradsky railway station

After the renovation of the Leningradsky railway station, the area of waiting rooms for passengers will increase three times, said Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry Maxim Liksutov.

According to him, the number of seats will be doubled - up to more than 1500. After completion of the works, a single new automatic microclimate and ventilation system will be created at the station. The temperature will be maintained at 22-25 degrees on all floors.

"We are carrying out the repair of the Leningradsky railway station on the instructions of the Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin. We approach this work extremely responsibly - we are responsible for the result both to the passengers and to the one and a half century history of the building. Every day Leningradsky station is used by 44 thousand passengers, and by 2040 this figure will grow to 70 thousand. For each of them we will create a comfortable, modern and functional space", - promised Liksutov.

In the building of the station will organize a co-working and will equip a new children's zone with a game club. More than 1500 cells of automatic luggage storage cameras will be installed on the basement floor. The area of the business hall will be doubled.

According to the Deptrans, Leningradsky and Kazansky railway stations, Novobiazanskaya Street and metro station "Komsomolskaya" of the Koltsevaya and Sokolnicheskaya metro lines will be united into a single circuit. Two additional entrances to the subway have already been opened at Leningradsky Railway Station. One of them is located on the platform of long-distance trains, and the other on the station square. Now passengers of suburban trains do not need to bypass the station building to get to the subway.

Additionally, a new underground passage from the station to the subway will be opened on the basement floor.
