In the Irkutsk region, a teenager accidentally shot a friend with his father's carbine

In the village of Chunsky in the Irkutsk region, a 12-year-old teenager accidentally shot his friend with his father's carbine while demonstrating the gun. This was reported on February 14 by TASS with reference to law enforcement agencies.

"A 12-year-old schoolboy in the village of Chunsky in the Irkutsk region showed his friend his father's carbine at home. During this, the child accidentally shot and hit his friend in the neck," - noted in the message.

It is indicated that the boy died on the spot. On the fact of the incident initiated a criminal case.

Earlier, on January 25, a resident of the city of Koryazhma in the Arkhangelsk region shot his girlfriend with a pneumatic weapon, believing that it is not loaded. At the time of the incident, the man was in an inebriated state. Four days later, the victim died in hospital. A criminal case has been opened under part 1 of article 118 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing serious harm to health through negligence").
