- The Ministry of Internal Affairs told about attempts of fraudsters to steal money through children

Fraudsters are trying to get parents' money by influencing children, so a child should know how to protect himself. This was reported on February 14 by Telegram-channel of the department for organizing the fight against illegal use of information and communication technologies (UBK) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
"Attempts by fraudsters to get the funds of parents by influencing children continue. Criminals introduce themselves as employees of the "Russian Post", "Gosuslugi" and even the FSB, convince children of the need to "declare" valuable things of the family. Using threats and psychological pressure, attackers force to take out and give couriers money, valuables and gold jewelry", - stated in the statement of the agency.
The Interior Ministry specifies, it is necessary to explain to children that fraudsters can pretend to be anyone on the Internet and over the phone. Parents also need to teach children to contact adults in any alarming situation.
According to the agency, setting up privacy in social networks will help in the protection from scammers, and also need to tell the child what fake messages and calls look like.
Earlier, on February 10, it was reported that attackers call Russians with an offer to update the account on "Gosusluga". It was specified that in most cases the attackers seek to obtain an SMS-code required to restore access to the account. The CBP reminded that "Gosuslugi" does not call users, as it is technically and economically unrealizable due to the large number of registered people.
