Russian President Vladimir Putin has supported Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev's intention to take part in the election of the region's head, which will be held in September 2025. He said this on Friday, February 14, during a videoconference with Razvozhayev.

"A lot has been done in recent years, if not to say a lot, and a lot has been done under your leadership. Therefore, I would certainly wish you good luck in your new term as governor of Sevastopol. Of course, provided that people support and trust you. <...> I will support you," the head of state replied to Razvozhayev's request to approve his participation in the upcoming elections with the support of the United Russia party.

During the working meeting they discussed Sevastopol's socio-economic issues, including healthcare, construction of polyclinics, schools, kindergartens and repair of existing infrastructures.

He also added that over the five years the volume of investments amounted to more than 418 billion rubles.
