Russia has not been invited to the Munich Security Conference, representatives of the Russian Foreign Ministry and other bodies will not take part in it. This was announced by Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova on February 14.

"Russian officials are not invited to the Munich Security Policy Conference. This decision was taken already several years ago, it is a politicized decision, it is a strange decision. Accordingly, there will be no representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as other official Russian structures, bodies, this I can say for sure," she said during the briefing.

The Munich Security Conference will be held on February 14-16. Russia has not participated in the event since 2022.

Earlier in the day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said there was no news on the topic of the Ukrainian settlement, commenting on US President Donald Trump 's statements about the allegedly upcoming meeting between representatives of Moscow and Washington in Munich.

Before that, on January 31, a representative of the conference told Izvestiya that Russian representatives would not be invited to the international security conference in Munich.
