On February 14, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev held a meeting with the head of the Tyva Republic Vladislav Khovalyg, with whom he discussed the environmental situation in the region and issues of socio-economic development within the framework of the national project "Environmental Wellbeing".

The head of the republic told about the participation of the republic in measures to reduce pollutant emissions under the federal project "Clean Air", as well as the transfer of private households in the capital of the region - Kyzyl - to electric heating.

According to Khovalyg, the republic's budget revenues as of December 31 increased by 5%, while retail trade turnover for 2024 amounted to more than 110%.

In addition, Patrushev and Khovalyg discussed the situation in agriculture, where Tyva has prepared a plan to improve agricultural efficiency using irrigation systems.

Last December, Patrushev said that the Ecological Wellbeing national project is a continuation of the Ecology national project and is dedicated to solving the tasks that have not been realized within five years. In particular, within the framework of the project it is planned to build a closed-cycle economy in the work with solid municipal waste and eliminate landfills. In addition, it is necessary to implement the "Clean Air" project to reduce polluting emissions into the atmosphere in cities and reduce the amount of untreated wastewater.
