A special military operation to protect civilians in Donbas has been carried out by Russia since February 24, 2022. The Defense Ministry said that during the week the Russian army launched 14 group strikes with high-precision weapons and attack drones, as a result of which gas and energy infrastructure facilities that support the Ukrainian military-industrial complex (MIC) were hit.

At the same time, over the past day, the Russian Armed Forces liberated the settlements of Dachne and Zelenoye Polye in the DNR.

In addition, ammunition and fuel and lubricants depots of Ukrainian troops, infrastructure of military airfields, assembly shops, storage and training facilities for operators of attack UAVs, as well as temporary deployment sites of Ukrainian armed formations were hit.

The military ministry added that 24 soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) surrendered as prisoners of war at the line of contact during the week.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 653 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 43,342 UAVs, 594 anti-aircraft missile systems (SAMs), 21,450 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,517 multiple rocket launchers (MLRS), 21,721 field artillery and mortars, 31,674 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
