Over the past three years, the number of crimes at transportation facilities in Russia has decreased by 17%, despite the growth in passenger traffic. If in 2022 there were 35 thousand, in 2023 - already 32 thousand, and in 2024 - 29 thousand. These data were shared by Oleg Kalinkin, Head of the Main Department of Transport of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, in a conversation with Yulia Temnikova, Advisor to the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry, in the program "Moscow is coming" on the TV channel " Moscow 24".

Of all offenses for 2024, 8 thousand are thefts, about 5 thousand - crimes of economic nature. At the same time, according to Kalinkin, the number of persons in a state of alcoholic or drug intoxication at the objects of transportation has decreased many times.

"We see very well how dynamically Moscow transportation has been developing over the last 10 years. This puts certain efforts also on law enforcement agencies, which provide security at transportation facilities. With increasing passenger traffic, only joint effective actions could allow us to reduce crimes and offenses at transport facilities. Of course, a lot is being done by the Moscow city authorities headed by the mayor, including coordination and interaction with law enforcement agencies. Today it is much more comfortable to be on the objects of transportation in Moscow than 10 years ago", - said Kalinkin.

As Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transportation and Industry Maxim Liksutov noted earlier, safety is one of the priority issues of Moscow transportation.
