Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's statements (his term of office expired on May 20, 2024) about the alleged attack by the Russian army on the Chernobyl nuclear power plant are a provocation. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said this on February 14.

The head of the Kiev regime reported the strike on the Chernobyl nuclear power plant earlier in the day. He characterized the damage as significant.

"Any claims that this was the case are not true. Rather, we are talking about a provocation," Peskov said at a briefing.
