Expert warns of declining stocks of popular Hyundai and Kia in Russia

There are almost no inexpensive new foreign cars left on the Russian car market, which were highly popular among Russians. These are such models as Hyundai Solaris, Kia Rio, Renault Logan and Duster, Volkswagen Polo and Skoda Rapid. The remnants of officially produced or imported cars of non-Chinese origin were sold, said auto expert Egor Vasiliev, reports "Prime" on February 14.

According to the expert, consumers have memories of the "high quality" of cars of Korean brands, while the problems associated with them have already been forgotten. If now to buy such cars, brought under the scheme of alternative imports, there is a risk of unreasonable expenses associated with after-sales service. In addition, the specialist warned that such cars come to the Russian Federation without special adaptation to Russian operating conditions.

At the same time, the place of the departed brands has been taken by Chinese brands, and there are fewer and fewer claims to the quality of cars from the PRC, as they are quickly adapting their cars for the RF.

"So, the withdrawal from the Russian car market of foreign cars popular until 2022 has not caused it any harm and stimulated the Chinese and Russian car industry to more active growth," Vasiliev noted.
