The DMR reported the start of gas supplies with the support of the Russian Federation

The unrecognized Transdniestrian Moldovan Republic (TMR) has started receiving natural gas purchased thanks to Russia's credit support. This was announced by the president of the unrecognized republic, Vadim Krasnoselsky, on February 14.

"I inform you that today gas has entered Transnistria. This delivery was made possible thanks to Russian credit assistance and painstaking, meticulous coordinated work of the team of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

In addition, Krasnoselsky thanked the Ministry's specialists and Russian officials for the support of the Transnistrian people in the current energy situation, Gazeta.Ru noted.

"We've been without heat for a month this winter."

The DMR head pointed to the possibility of gas supply by the Hungarian company MET Gas and Energy Marketing AG thanks to the support of the Russian Federation and functional assistance back on February 10. He noted that the republic would be provided with gas and the region's energy system should stabilize.
