Russian-Chinese detective film "Red Silk", based on real events, is released on February 20. About the historical basis of the film on February 14 told the creators of the film.
The events of the movie unfolds in the late 1920s. The conservative political party of the Republic of China (Kuomintang) broke the alliance with the local Communists and conducted sweeps in the country. At the time, the Soviet Union was helping the Kuomintang, including sending its military advisors to the country. Intelligence officer Mikhail Borodin helped bring relations to this level. Many Soviet spies worked under the cover of Soviet embassies in China.
"It's a very complicated story in general: a man from the Soviet Union to befriend a Chinese leader. Thanks to him were and established some diplomatic relations, trade relations, opened a military academy," said Nikolai Dolgopolov, deputy editor-in-chief of Rossiyskaya Gazeta, three times winner of the Foreign Intelligence Service award.
The storyline of the movie "Red Silk" is based on the story of that time - the delivery of secret documents from China to Moscow.
"In 1928, the sixth Congress of the Communist Party of China was in the Moscow region, but we did not want to shoot on a political theme, I suggested to them, and let's shoot a movie, as the delegates were traveling, as carried documents to this Congress. Because it was really with adventures, it was like a thrilling action in life, in real events", - shared the producer of the movie Vadim Byrkin.
Earlier, February 10, the actors of the film "Red Silk" told details about the filming of the motion picture. According to them, some episodes were filmed including one shot for the plausibility of what is happening. In the movie, most of the action takes place "on the rails", but despite this, the narrative remains non-linear.
