Sobyanin spoke about helping Moscow schoolchildren to study IT directions

Pre-professional IT classes have been opened in 169 Moscow schools. They are attended by about 9.4 thousand high school students, who get acquainted with in-demand professions in the fields of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, attend excursions and study days in the offices of IT companies, said in his official Telegram channel the mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin.

The popularity of such classes is constantly growing - last year they enrolled 30% more students than in 2023.

In 32 colleges it is possible to master nine specialties of IT-industry. These are software and web application development, information security, installation of equipment and communication networks and others. All students undergo practical training in companies.

Also in the city work more than 21 thousand circles on technical specialties, more than 360 thousand children study in them. The most popular areas are computer technologies, programming and robotics. Schoolchildren learn the basics of programming, create games, mobile applications and websites, master 3D-marketing, vector design and engineering graphics.
