- Russian Federation postpones payment of utilization tax for manufacturers of self-propelled machines

The Government of the Russian Federation has decided to defer payment of the utilization fee in order to support manufacturers of self-propelled machines. The document was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. This is reported on February 14 on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.
Thus, the deadline for payment of utilization fee for the IV quarter of 2024 and for the I-III quarters of 2025 for manufacturers of domestic self-propelled machines and trailers to them is postponed until December 2025. The list of such machinery includes tractors, bulldozers, graders and other machines used in agriculture, construction, utilities and other sectors.
The government noted that the decision will affect more than 50 enterprises. It will stabilize the financial position of manufacturers "in the current economic situation." The postponement will allow them to preserve working capital and economic potential amid the rising cost of credit financing, the statement said.
On January 23, it was reported that Russia may adjust the size of the recycling fee for some types of vehicles, this is provided by the draft resolution of the Russian government. The document envisages both increase and decrease of rates in the scale of indexation of utilization fee for various types of vehicles already approved until 2030.
