A federal judge in the United States has ordered the administration of President Donald Trump to re-direct foreign aid, which the American leader ordered to freeze immediately after taking office. This 14 reported the publication Politico with reference to the court ruling.

It is noted that, according to the court, the 90-day general freeze imposed by Trump is sudden and illegal, and it is necessary to resume funding for hundreds of foreign aid contractors.

"At least to date, Defendants have offered no explanation as to why the total suspension of all congressionally appropriated foreign aid, which has sent shockwaves and upended the dependency interests of thousands of agreements," the publication quoted U.S. District Judge Ameer Ali, a presidential appointee of former President Joe Biden, as saying.

The judge concluded that the Trump administration appeared to have acted "arbitrarily and capriciously" by abruptly cutting off all foreign aid.

The document emphasizes that the actions of the new president and his administration caused a "shockwave" and became an obstacle to the implementation of several thousand agreements, "Gazeta.Ru" added .

On January 20, the White House website published Trump's executive order suspending Washington's development aid to other countries for 90 days.
