FAS sent inquiries to the largest manufacturers of agricultural machinery

The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has sent requests to the largest manufacturers of agricultural machinery, the press service of the antimonopoly body said on February 14.
"The service requested information on prices, production costs and sales volumes of wheeled and tracked tractors, grain and forage harvesters, self-propelled sprayers and mowers," the antimonopoly body explained.
In addition, manufacturers must provide data on the largest dealers by sales volume.
FAS of Russia will analyze the submitted information and assess the situation on the agricultural machinery market. In case the analysis reveals signs of violations of antimonopoly legislation, the agency will take appropriate response measures.
From 2023, the service will monitor prices of manufacturers, and from 2025 - of dealers of agricultural machinery. This work is aimed at minimizing the risks of unjustified price increases for domestically produced machinery before the start of the sowing campaign.
On February 10, the FAS promised to analyze the prices of dry construction mixtures. We are talking about plaster, putty, tile glue, waterproofing compounds, masonry mortars, etc.
